1. Technology : Blessing or Curse

The usage of emails and web had gradually increased by the end of previous century and it continued to in the initial years of this century.

However, with the advent of Smart phones, Apps, Facebook and WhatsApp the usage has immensely scaled.

It's a no-brainer that most of the human beings having access to these technological advancements are making quite significant use out of it.

Meanwhile, there are videos and posts that talk about the curse that technology has done to the society and mankind.

Typical examples are - People have stopped interacting with each other face-to-face, During an outing everyone is hooked on to their cell phones, technology is killing a lot of humanity and so on. There are umpteen things to quote but I am sure the reader mind must have already visualised a lot of them.

Well, I am not against any of those who feel that technology has done a lot of damage. However, I would like to express a standpoint here.

Firstly, to curse the technology the platform that is used is technology itself. For instance, stop using Facebook and WhatsApp - such messages are broadcasted on these platforms itself.

Secondly, i feel technology is like a premise. Now, how to use that premise is an individual choice - one may want to build a temple, other may want to build a restaurant while someone may want to manufacture lethal weapons.

I have a choice to make the best use of technology and if I do, i have done my bit.

Lets also consider the ease of life that technology has given us - be it shopping, travel bookings, commuting in cabs, banking, entertainment, information, connecting at distant geographies, broadcasts and webcasts and beyond.

When a nation is in filth, is it fair to say that the nation is dirty or is it right to say that the citizens have made it filthy?

My duty is to make the best use of technological premise and I stand by it.

You may choose to do so at your own will.

PS: I did use the technology to express this sentiment.
