3. Muddat.

kamaane se mujhe fursat nahi,
uske alawa kuch karne ki zarurat nahi
main apni masti me mast hun
mera baal baanka karne ki kisi me zurrat nahi

meri is duniya se kabhi furkat nahi
is jahaan me kabhi mujhe gurbat nahi
main apni behoshi me vyast hun
martey hoge aur, hum wo murat nahi

marney ke baare me kyu sochna jab..
har din murde-si-zindagi jeene se muddat nahi

2. Pigeon.

A 50 something lady was setting up a small stall for selling water and beverages she had got in a big plastic bag. It must be heavy for her to carry. She had also gotten a big umbrella with her that she fixed with a support on the ground.

While I was observing her from the time she walked in, the next thing she did was taking out a pet jar from her belongings and walking a couple of meters towards north. I started concentrating and was amazed to see that she took out some grains from that jar and started feeding the pigeons. Amid a wonderful breeze, around 30 odd pigeons flocked over and started consuming the edibles served for them on the platter provided by Mother Nature.

I had to approach her with my inquisitiveness. I went and sat next to her thereby asking her – May I ask you a question? She was like – Go ahead.

I initiate with a sentence followed by a question – I see that you are running a small business which I am sure you are satisfied with but my query here is why do you get food for someone (pigeons) who is not going to offer you anything in return?

To which she replied – Who said I am not going to get anything in return. These folks come here every day and shower their blessings on me. It’s something that they give me much more than I offer them.

I expressed as if that was not convincing enough for me. I added – I appreciate your thought but in today’s world of give and take, what is the value of the blessings and how does the blessing help in reality?

She nodded and quoted these words – Look son, blessings are something that are not visible but as a result of that a natural and effortless phenomena occurs which makes me feel that the endless thirst is quenched for a while. Ultimately, we all are here to run the race but it’s so very important to stop for a while, do something for people around us and as a result cherish the soothing experience that is going to dwell eternally.

I expressed my gratitude, started the vehicle and left with the flow of memories that made me relish for quite some time.

1. Dur Des Se...

Dur des se, bina bhes ke, aaya jahaan main
Khaali haath, naa koi saath, aaya kahaan main

Pala padha, aage badhaa, uljha suljha main
Poora youvan, bhog aur dhan, sukh dukh sahaa main

badalti taqdeer, bigadti tasveer, phir bhi machla* main
chal rahi jung, zindagi ke sang, gira sambhla main

jinta kamaya, poora gavaya, bheed me tanha main
khaaya piya, itna hi jeeya, hua fanaa main

Dur des ko, chhode bhes ko, gaya wahaan main
naya ghar, aur ek safar, naa jaane kahaan main...

(*Previously "jawaan" but modified to "machlaa" as suggested by Suchit)

3. Ungli.

A different attempt to demonstrate the exercise against corruption (pension office), political dominance (banners), bribing (traffic cops), infrastructure loop(pot)holes and auto-rickshaw demands as well as above all the fixing of the Mumbai police department postings through an underworld fixer.

The last one is a shocker for me if true and if it's really true, the more shocking thing is it's seemingly neglected or I am too naive to comprehend.

Behind the lens, not a great stuff but Respect‬ to RD (Story & Direction) for touching the sensitive areas and Great job KJo for believing in the subject.

On the screen, average showcasing by SD, EH, KR, ND and the cast and crew.

I am still wondering about the criminals fixing the cops. what level of safety and security I can guarantee for myself !!!

2. Thank You.

Yesterday, I participated in a seminar that focused on varied areas in life. Although it was not a part of the main topic, one point that touched me was about being thankful to people in life. Such thoughts have been shared and earlier been implemented at a few instances; today was a nice experience nonetheless.

I was riding on bike with no particular thought of being thankful and I passed by a traffic cops directing the traffic. Suddenly, I got connected to the words delivered in the seminar. I thought in my mind that as soon as I encounter the next cop, let me spend a few seconds thanking him.

It was around 500 meters and I saw a cop standing. I took the vehicle next to him. As he saw me approaching him, I assume that he must have assumed that I have come to ask about navigation to some place. I immediately took out my hand with a gesture that I am looking forward to shake his hand and to my surprise, immediately he shook. At the next movement of my wrist watch, I told him in a local language – I want to thank you. He was full of smiles on his face that has undergone a lot of pollution. The smile made his face glow. He just took the finger of his left hand and added – Thanks to the almighty.

I added – Almighty is the one we all should thank undoubtedly but you are the one I feel like thanking as you are doing your duty relentlessly and my heart goes for you. He probably loved that gesture and shook hands again.

Bidding adieu to him – I suffixed my greeting with his last name and he was overwhelmed. He kept looking at me till at least till I could see him in the rear mirror of the bike.
Hats off to the traffic cop, the entire fraternity and infinite people in my life who make my life happen. They are no less than the heartbeats and the breath.

Recommend you also try doing this and I am sure you will earn loads of true wealth. J

1. Naa Koi...

Naa koi laksh hai,
Naa koi wajah,
Phir bhi hum bas jiye jaa rahe hai...

Naa koi fal hai,
Naa koi faisla,
Phir bhi hum ek umeed liye jaa rahe hai...

Naa isme swaad hai,
Naa chhip rahi pyaas,
Phir bhi hum is paani ko piye jaa rahe hai...

Naa baant rahe hai,
Naa bhugat rahe kuch,
Phir bhi hum paise ikattha kiye jaa rahe hai...

Naa Samajh hai,
Naa hai itni Shakti,
Phir bhi hum apni pehchaan diye jaa rahe hai...

Dur apno se ho rahe hai,
Tut rahe hai bandhan,
Naa jaane kaunsa dhaaga hum siye jaa rahe hai??

Naa koi laksh hai,
Naa koi wajah,
Phir bhi...
