A Washerman once visited his regular place to wash the clothes and was a bit surprised to discover that the rock that he uses for washing clothes is occupied by a Monk who was busy meditating.
He did wait for a while with an intention of not disturbing the Monk.
Since his patience didn't pay him for a long while, he approached the Monk and whispered in his ears. There was no response from the Monk's end as if he was transcended to another world. Washerman was in a dilemmatic situation.
He decided to tap the Monk's shoulder thereby requesting him to move. As soon as he performed his act, Monk felt the push and he was furious to learn that he has been disturbed by a Washerman who was a pretty downtrodden being in his perception.
With a feeling of vengeance, Monk pushed the Washerman and the combat was flagged off.
After an exchange of few punches, when both were tired Monk suddenly started praying hard to God seeking his help.
When God appeared, Monk started grumbling by questioning God's presence in a critical situation faced by someone who is persistently devoted to the Almighty.
God replied - "I was here since long, however looking at the situation it was hard for me to figure out - Who is the Monk and Who is the Washerman?"
