✦ A Prayer of Release and Peace ✦
Today, I pray to let go of every clutter in my mind.
I release all feelings of hatred, dislike, or animosity toward anyone.
If someone does not listen to me — may I release it instantly.
If someone insults me — may I clear the air within and set myself free.
If an unpleasant event occurs — may I remain unburdened, knowing that all will be resolved in its own time.
Should anyone show hatred toward me,
may I stay calm within,
seeing it as nothing more than an empty boat gently bumping against the still waters of my mind.
I take full responsibility for whatever happens around me.
For I know deeply — it is the fruit of my own past karmas.
Others are but nimits — instruments, like postmen or jailors.
The real tendencies of attachment and aversion arise within me.
Why should I blame the nimit?
I do not wish to anymore.
I pray to relax.
I pray to release.
I pray to rest in freedom.
May I offer only limitless love.
May I cultivate only infinite friendship.
May I choose joy — here, now, in this very moment.
I exist only in the Now.
And in this Now, I am free.
This gentle prayer is my reflection,
my song of the heart,
my surrender of the soul.
My permanent being may or may not always remain like this —
but today, with deep feeling and love,
I only wish to pray,
to feel,
to soften.
Jai Jinendra.
