1. Magic.

Someone asked me today -

Do you think - Motivational seminars and books help?

I said - They do, if you want to be helped.

He further asked - How?

I continued - There ain't any magic. It's just the spark that occurs and the choice of letting it go or igniting the flame is completely individual.

Reading an inspiration book / biography, Watching a stimulating movie / documentary or attending a motivational workshop / seminar does take you to a certain high for a while but the receiver has to choose if he wants to go higher than the high or stay at the high or hit the ground..

Motivation is a reason and implementation is the result.

1. Satyamev Jayate.

For every 1000 boys, there are 914 girls and the numbers are diminishing. Over 3 crore girls have either been aborted or terminated immediately post birth. Extremely heart-touching and astonishing facts. Salute Aamir Khan and team for initiating Satyamev Jayate through one of the most sensitive subjects of the nation. I have no doubts that it a devastating social evil. However, would like to dig a bit further and raise a question - "Why do people want to abort a girl child?". The possible replies could create a chain reaction - Social Structure - No motivation for education - Corruption - Poverty - Dowry System - Discrimination.... If a girl child is born in a family, what immediate questions would parents have in their mind. 1. What if she doesn't get a good family post marriage? 2. What if she studies more and doesn't get a suitable match? 3. What if she studies less and doesn't get a right guy? 4. What if she is abused or molested? 5. What if she turns out to be so innocent that the world sucks her up? 6. What do we do in our old age when she gets married and not allowed to meet us much? 7. How will she be able to manage her in-laws if they torture her? 8. We would spend on her upbringing and finally she will leave the house and thereafter also, we would still need to look after the requirements from the in-laws side. I am not saying that all these questions will come in each and every parent's mind but a straight forward and blunt remark that I would like to make is - Are parents really relieved to have a girl child or somewhere they think that having a boy child will always add to their family tree, existence, ego and social presence? PS: Neither I am against gal child nor am I against any parents or their thoughts. This is a general observation that I am attempting to present and due to this, if I have hurt anyone's sentiments, please forgive me. PPS: On a lighter note, (as Aamir too rightly presented), if the ratio diminishes further, what will happen to the remaining guys who fall out of the competition.. the remaining 86 of 1000, I mean.

2. Torch.

While I walk in the dark with a torch in my hand, I tend to throw light a little ahead of my feet so that I can see the path and also move forward. As I move forward, I experience that the light is also moving ahead. Light and I, we both are in sync. Gradually, I reach the destination place and when I look back, the path still appears dark. If I try to view the source with the light, I can't see anything as it's pitch dark. How did I cover the path then? It's such a silly question with a silly answer - While moving ahead with the torch, my focus was on the immediate next step and not the destination. The target didn't arrive immediately, it took time but I did reach there eventually. What do I do in Life? As soon as I think of doing something, achieving something, being successful on a project that I have undertaken, I tend to throw the torch at the destination that appears to be either hazy or completely dark. There are 2 significant demerits that come out of this thinking. 1. I feel like giving up on my mission as I don't see a clear picture because of my torch set only on the destination and not on the immediate next step. 2. I don't see, feel, experience and analyse the immediate next step and fail to enjoy the experience of execution. As a result, I stay standstill. Neither I move forward, nor I experience the wonderful present moment thinking that I am a failure and I cannot do anything in life. I have a torch, I need to throw some light on the present moment and the immediate next step. Success, Destination, Achievement, Target, Goal, Result will happen...

1. Growth.

There are 3 categories of people – One who want to grow, others who don’t want to grow and the third lot (a major one and more of responsible for the chain reaction, I believe) is the one who see others not growing and think that they also can’t grow.

Some may say what about a fourth category, who see people growing and they want to grow, thinking that they can grow. I would say people who want to grow never think that they can grow if others are growing. They just feel they can grow because they want to grow, no matter what.

Ofcourse, there is an inspiration factor which leads them to discover and invent the ways of growing. Success may come gradually but growth (each and every step, practically every moment) is inevitable.

It’s quite possible that the attempts made towards success may turn futile; the growth doesn’t stop nonetheless. Growth may not seem to be evident but it happens because the success is in the making. Also, the success surely happens until the one who is growing gives up. The day one gives up, the growth stops and one falls into the second category – “I don’t want to grow”.

Which category do I fall into?

4. Socho to...

Socho to sukh hai, socho to dukh hai,
yehi jeevan ka, sahi swaroop hai;

yaha khaali pet kisi ka man santusht hai,
to koi bhare pet me bhi bhookh hai;

kisi k liye dhan hi sab kuch hai,
to kisi k liye hasta parivar sukh roop hai;

to kahin koi uljhano se jaata ruk hai;

sab kuch paake bhi gawa diye isliye ek muk hai,
dusra kuch nahi paake, apni amaanat me hi khush hai;

3. Savings.

I had 100 bucks as ma savings. I wanted to buy a thing worth 10 bucks. I thot instead of goin down to 90, lemme save 10 more nd den spend 10.

As I reached 110, I thought its not a gud idea to downgrade from 110 to 100.

Ultimately 10, 100, LIFE... Everything will pass away...!!!

2. Leapfrog.

To leapfrog 100 steps forward, I may need to take 10 steps backwards.

No point in getting annoyed in those 10 steps as dey r a part of the leapfrog process.

If I am not happy in taking steps back, I might as well should continue walking step by step; whereever its leading towards.
