2. Happy Freedom.

Freedom brings happiness, even the thought of it does.

On a parallel thought, freedom and happiness are tightly coupled.

Drilling down, what are the avenues in my life that generate happiness? Well, umpteen! However, am I dependent on those to experience happiness?

For instance, let me consider food as one of those multiple avenues that makes me feel happy.
a. Does it always work for me? Or only when I am fit and hungry?
b. If it works, does it give me a comprehensive and an eternal happiness?

Well all these avenues are trigger dependent; a trigger that comes from within.

All the happiness that is generated is experienced until the consumption of the avenue. What next? A new trigger? And to fulfill that, a new avenue that I need to depend on?

On this Independence day, let me strive to explore an abundance of happiness that can be experienced persistently and it has to be  independent from the external avenues.

Freedom is Happiness.
Happiness is Freedom.

1. मदारी.

चला मदारी खेल दिखाने,
हो गया खिलवाड़ उसीके के साथ।

देश की व्यवस्था हो गयी है लूली,
नेताओं को करना नहीं है कुछ ख़ास,
जब तक कुर्सी है, कमाओ जी भरके,
यही है उनका श्रम और प्रयास...

करना था मदारी को इनका पर्दाफाश,
किन्तु हो गया खिलवाड़ उसीके साथ।

सड़के कच्ची बनी, गड्ढे बढ़ते गए,
पर पैसा पूरा लिया जनता के पास,
बड़ी बड़ी योजनाओ के नाम पे,
सपनो में दिखाया देश का विकास...

मदारी से यह सब हुआ ना बर्दाश्त,
पर हो गया खिलवाड़ उसीके साथ।

विरोध पक्ष ने मित्रों, कुछ नहीं उखाड़ा,
अब हम पर आप रखो विश्वास,
इन्ही दलीलों पर मांगे वोट,
आम आदमी को दिलायी फिर एक आस...

ठान ली मदारी ने, नहीं सहूंगा यह बकवास,
लेकिन हो गया खिलवाड़ उसीके साथ।

पांच साल तो कचरे की सफाई में लगेंगे,
ऐसे वाक्यों में देश को उलझाकर, खुद ली चैन की सांस,
तुम भरते रहो कर (टैक्स) सफाई धुलाई का,
हम उससे बनायेगे अपना आवास...

मदारी को निकालनी थी अपनी और देश की भड़ास,
अफ़सोस, हो रहा है अब तक खिलवाड़ पूरे देश के साथ।।।

1. Saans lena bhul gaya...

मैं सांस लेना भूल गया...मगर!!

सुबह होते ही दौड़ने लगा,
पैरों के सहारे, कभी उँगलियों पर...
हज़ार काम करता गया,
याद रहा सब कुछ सरासर...
मैं सांस लेना भूल गया...मगर!!

एक ही दिशा में बढ़ते कदम,
वही काम और वही दफ्तर...
भूख लगने पर होता है एहसास,
आधा दिन गया है गुज़र...
मैं सांस लेना भूल गया...मगर!!

दिन चला, हो गयी है शाम,
घंटी बजी अब जाना है घर...
बीवी ने जो कहा था,
वो ले जाना था याद रखकर...
मैं सांस लेना भूल गया...मगर!!

दिन रात हफ्ते महीने साल,
चलता रहा यही चक्कर...
याद करते करते निपटाए सब काम,
और बीत गयी सारी उमर...
मैं सांस लेना भूल गया...मगर!!

2. Yaaron.

'वक़्त' मिला दोस्तों के साथ,
जब सारे जहां में कमी थी,
बातें होती रही बेशुमार,
कुछ ऐसी महफ़िल जमी थी...

ध्यान न था किसी का कहीं और,
घडी की सुई भी जैसे थमी थी,
आखिर बिछड़ने का समय हुआ,
आँखों में आ गयी नमी थी...

किन्तु यादों को लिए दिल में,
ऐसी एक तस्वीर बनी थी,
आज बिछडे तो कल फिर मिलेगे,
यह बात शत प्रतिशत ठनी थी।

1. Kuran Puraan.

पढ़ लिया कुरान
रट लिए वेद पुराण
हर मजहब बोले
केवल एक जुबान

शक्तिशाली है इंसान
बुद्धि का मिला वरदान
हक़ नहीं उसे करने का
किसी भी जीव को परेशान

किन्तु दिखानी है उसे शान
बनना है महान
कमजोर और अबोल की
लेनी है उसे जान

ईश्वर भी है हैरान
मैंने तो बनाया था दयावान
पर शक्ति बुद्धि के दुरूपयोग से
बन गया है हैवान

भेजा था इसे मेरे स्थान
करने स्वर्ग का निर्माण
बन्दा अपने पेट और दिल में
बना बैठा है कब्रस्तान

क्या नहीं है इसे इतना ज्ञान
हर कर्म का होगा भुगतान
सब को डाल बैठा है मुश्किल में
खुद की ज़िन्दगी भी नहीं कर रहा आसान

2. Raj Bhavan.

There are umpteen places in the Maximum City (Mumbai), each of which I must have visited numerous times. I would always wonder that like most of the big cities of the world, Mumbai too must be having loads of place that are kind of virgin or unexplored.

Raj Bhavan, in my opinion, can top the list. This is the place where the Governor of the state resides and also is a home to 300+ staff. A sprawling 50 acre odd property including a private beach with a breathtaking view of Arabian sea topped up with Queen's necklace and a cherry-like sunrise experience, it's the only one of its kind.

Surrounded by sea on three sides, it hosts a series of heritage architecture, huge lawns, flora, fauna and a bunch of beautiful birds including our national icon, peacock.

Above all, it's the soothing feeling that enriches an experience; a feeling of being right in the city yet closest to the nature and an extremely fresh environment.

While sipping coffee in the cup engraved with National Emblem of India, a thought crosses the mind that expresses -  "Arguably, it's an awesome vintage estate in the country and probably the best in the town"

PS: Special expression of gratitude towards the extremely courteous management for their wonderful hospitality and for lending their valuable time to us with loads of smiles on their faces throughout, that left us with with an everlasting royal feeling of happiness and bliss.

1. Sochta hun...

सोचता हूँ कुछ करू, पर मन में ही रेह जाता है ..
फिर कोई छुप के से जब आके कुछ केह जाता है ..
तब कुछ पल के लिए , दिल एक हल्का सा धक्का सेह जाता है ...
और फिर वही रफ़्तार से , वक़्त साला बेह जाता है !!
