Abundance, at times is scary. Let me quote an analogy.
I have grown up in the age where digital cameras were not even in imagination. I would click pictures using film cameras or for simplicity, shall I call them analog cameras. There was always a thought before clicking – Is it really worth? Or Am I just investing in one picture?
This was I would preserve the film thereby clicking only those that I found really worth. Since the output quantity was controlled, I would enjoy watching those pictures again and again cherishing the memories made during the trip or event.
In today’s digital world where the pictures travel from a digital camera to social media, I barely even view them – appreciating is a distant thought.
By and large, an album of 30 images (in those days) was visited over 100 times while at the present day, 1000 images are hardly viewed even 3 times
On World Photography day today, I would like to rekindle those memories and while respecting the abundance of digital photography, pay a tribute to film camera and umpteen memories that were made and revisited a number of times.
Yes, Abundance, at times is scary…
